A little Vacation

Rayleigh Jo, my sister Abby, and myself headed out Thursday for our first "girls weekend". We were in route to Edisto Beach, S.C., about an hour south of Charleston. My Aunt Vicki and uncle Rob are pastoring a new church there and we went to stay with them at their new perish (1 block away from the beach). On the way we stopped in at Jekyll Island to do a little shopping at one of Rayleigh's favorite stores. We love this one because it has the discount outlet, right up my alley :)

We spent Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night on Edisto Island which is 13 x 15 miles. It was so much fun. It is such a small Island with a hardware store, Piggly Wiggly, Island Resort Golf course, and 4 or 5 restraunts with a couple of little boutique gift shop stores. We rode our bikes and strolled everywhere, it was truly a "vacation". No Red lights, traffic, or walmarts.

She did get her feet wet a little and boy did she love it! I had to keep her from putting sand and shells in her mouth though. I think she really would have eaten the sand had I let her. By day 3 on the beach Rayleigh really had the hang of things she was really loving it, and the 10 total minutes of suntime she got, she really had her tan going. But we sure were glad to be home to dad today :) So if your looking for a really great quite place to vacation we highly suggest visitin Edisto Baptist Church and the community.
